my strong builder.

one of my biggest struggles is to be real. i challenge myself to be real with people everyday. i'm not saying i'm pretending to be someone else but just being willing to share my weakness... i am being challenged by God everyday and i love how He breaks me down so... He can build me into a palace. I love this quote by C.S Lewis

"Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what He is doing. He is getting the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof and so on; you knew that those jobs needed doing and so you are not surprised. But presently He starts knocking the house about in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make any sense. What on earth is He up to? The explanation is that He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of - throwing out a new wing here, putting on an extra floor there, running up towers, making courtyards. You thought you were being made into a decent little cottage: but He is building a palace. He intends to come and live in it Himself.”

God knows when i rise and when i fall... He knows every detail of my life. He memorizes me.

have a God glorifying friday.

  1. Sein, this is something I struggle with as well. I am naturally reserved and would rather not "bother" others with my wants and needs and, as opposite as it may seem, talents. For some reason I find comfort in being unheard, hidden, and nearly invisible. I don't like to stand out and sometimes I fear that revealing my true self will place my life on a pedestal. I have to take time to realize that God has created me with a purpose greater than my own comfort. To reach out to others with the gifts He has placed in my hand.

Thank you for sharing, you have a beautiful heart and I am SO glad that we are friends! :]

    1. "i have to take time to realize that God has created me with a purpose GREATER than my own comfort"..i totally agree. we serve a great God and a loving father who truly ..really truly cares for us and loves us. if there is something we need to be afraid of is God. Like what Paul says, we should not boast about ourselves but God. And we are nothing without him so why would we even boast about ourselves when we are just sinners... He is the greatest we got.
Thank you for sharing with me your thoughts! i want to see you more:)

  2. Great words, Sein. I love the Quote from C.S. Lewis too. It's hard to give over the whole house (so to speak)to God and not just parts of it. I know those parts of my life that I struggle to let him change are the ones that keep me from being the best version of myself. It's a hard thing sometimes. There's hallways and rooms I still struggle to let him enter because of fear. I have fears I struggle to give over to Him because I just don't know what will happen next. Thanks for the post. It's encouraging.
